Hey Everyone. I wanted to remind everyone about how to go about properly reporting problems to staff. A lot of players seem to have forgotten how lately...
First - Try to resolve the problem on your own. Many rulebreakers will stop doing what they're doing if you point out the fact calmly. Note I said calmly...if you try the old "Stop blocking our den you freaking noob or we'll kill your ass!"...then the rulebreaker won't be the only one in trouble.
Second - If the situation doesn't resolve itself, prepare your unedited logs/screenshots to send to staff when they're requested. LOGS people!! In most major situations we'll be asking for them. If you're unwilling to send logs, then there's nothing we can do. We need proof that something indeed has happened. And please, don't come to us with the excuse "My computer is acting up on me" or whatever. I'm so tired of that excuse or anything like it. My point...no logs...no help. If you don't know where to find them, on your computer click start - my documents - furcadia - logs. The logs are all there listed by date. In the logs file, you'll see the whisper folder..inside there you'll find logs of whispers.
Third - Whisper staff. If you whisper one of us and we show as afk, whisper another staff member. Don't worry if we're afk, we're usually not far away (a rhyme!). When I put myself as afk, i'm never more then 10 feet away from the computer and the volume is left on so I hear when i'm whispered. We'll ask for logs, usually asked to be summoned to the situation.
Fourth - PLEASE...keep your pack/pride/friends under control! It's very difficult to deal with a problem when the screen keeps filling up with:
(you're such a noob)
(I'm not listening to you anymore)
(Just shut up)
(God this is so annoying, just leave already)
(JUST GET OUT YOU ASSHOLE!!!!!!!!!)

ETCETCETC. Usually when staff comes in, that's the hint for everyone to quiet down so that things can be dealt with. If we need imput from everyone in the den...we'll ask for it. However the logs provided are usually enough to find out what's going on. Things will be dealt with a lot quicker if everyone quiets down. If you feel the need to keep talking about things, take it to whisper.

We do our best to be fair to everyone and our decisions are based on the logs we receive (from both sides of course) and what the rules say. Just because you don't like a decision that we make, it doesn't make us bad/unworthy staff. And let me save some of you a bit of trouble. From time to time we'll get the old threat "Nark will hear about this!". Well, just so you know, Nark hears about each and every problem that happens, whether she's here or not. Staff have access to a hidden forum on here where we report every issue that happens. Every log is posted and as well as the outcome. It helps all staff keep on the same page as to what's going on in the dream, it also helps to keep track of repeat offenders. Nark reads this whenever she has a chance. If she feels something was handled wrong (which is VERY rare), we hear about it. So go ahead and tell Nark...chances are she'll know about what happened before you tell her.
My final note...if there is a problem...tell staff about it! We can't keep the dream clear of trouble makers if we don't know about the problem in the first place. So if you aren't willing to let staff know about the problem...don't complain about it later. Thanks for reading this and take care.
