She is a small Black-backed Jackal. One of her eyes is a hazel green while the other is silver, almost completely white. Her sleek pelt is an ebony colour that renders her near invisible at night, but she knows how to camouflage her fur with mud, snow and the likes to blend into most environments. Runes have been carved into her frame at some places in a dark red. Her tail is sleek and elongated wrapped with bandages around the base covering stitches and scars. She has one ear pierced through with a small rope adorned with ravens' feathers and a single gold coin. She wears a necklace with a chunk of green heulandite pendant.
She has a mask of leather and bone that she wears to cover a disfigured maw, but has to take it off when fighting or talking because it allows no movement of the jaw.
3. History.
She was born with the dark dyed fur. When she was just a whelp her family deserted her because they saw her an ill omen. A small orphan boy found her and brought her to his small village where she grew up on the streets as a vagabond. She learned stealth and loyalty while stealing and fighting with and for the boy. Because she was not raised with others of her kind, she has a hard time in social situations. When she was just over 2 years, both her and the boy were sold to some freaks in travelling caravans. He died from the experiments they crudely applied to him, and she stole the necklace he had worn his whole time with her. She made it through their torture so as to exact revenge. They were trying to alter her and pass her as a freak of nature; an attraction that they could use in circus shows for money. They carved runes into her skin, disfigured her face and replaced it with a mask of leather and bone. They removed her tail and spent many months attaching a new, functional tail onto her. Finally, when she was just under 3 years, she took her revenge. She slunk into each of their resting places and murdered them in cold blood while they slept. She fled the camp and became an assassin and spy for hire by packs. She never settled and she constantly searched for the place where she could be accepted and entrust her loyalty to a new master.
4. Describe the strengths and weaknesses.
+ She has valued skills in the arts of stealth, spying, and assassination.
+ She is smaller and harder to catch; good at dodging.
+ She is more cunning and a better strategist when compared to others of her kind because she was raised in a human environment.
+ She has a higher pain threshold than others because of her torture.
- Her mask restricts movements of her jaws so she is unable to open her mouth unless it is removed.
- Because of her smaller size, she lacks any real brute strength.
- She lacks any real form of understanding with interactions and social situations.
- Her fragile frame means that attacks are more likely to do more critical damage to her than it would an average wolf.
5. Measurements.
weight - 19 lbs
height(to shoulder) - 38 cm
claws - 1.5 inches
fang length (canine) - 2 inches
fang length (incisor) - 0.8 inches
6. RP Post.
Once slipped through the quiet forest, slinking from shadow to shadow. The trees here were thick and close together, giving her ample coverage as she drew nearer to her target. Her excitement thwarted all other emotions. She leaped into the low branches of an oak that had split in half, concealing herself near the trunk. A small wolf moved in the opening of the small den before her. "Get out!" a deep voice boomed from inside, sending the figure scampering and Once ducking beneath the leaves. She paused a moment before dashing to the mouth of the den. The hulking wolf inside was facing her, but had his neck craned back, nursing an injury dealt to his haunch in battle. She was here to finish the job her 'oh so superior' fellow warriors had failed to do. Keeping her step light and body low, she crept closer. The King's neck was exposed to her, open and inviting, as he licked his wound. In one swift motion she lunged and slit his throat. His death would be painful. She relished the fact that he would not die instantly as he would have had she snapped his neck. He stared at her astonished, the life receding from his eyes. She grinned and winked at him. "With regards from my King." She laughed and bowed. "I am named Once for a reason," she whispered slyly and disappeared into the starless night as the famed Taker of Heads drew his last breath.
